E-Z-RAMAN On-line Monitoring of LPG

LPG ( Liquefied petroleum gas) is basically a crude oil distillate utilized for a wide range of vehicles and heating units. It consists of mainly butane and propane gases, in a mixing ratio according to application and region. The separation process, with extraction of methane and ethane, can be complicated by the inherent crude oil quality as well as the type of hydro treatment. With years of experience in downstream applications, AppliTek offers fast, on-line continuous gas analysis by means of Raman techniques. A centralized on-line Raman analyzer, located in general purpose zone, determines the exact chemical composition in minutes and collects the data for communication to a maintenance room. Recent years Raman has become a powerful analytical tool for determining a large set of critical parameters in ( petro) chemical liquids, encouraged by the design of precise optics and powerful lasers. For LPG applications, Raman spectrometry is far more superior to NIR ( Near Infrared) and a perfectly valuable alternative to GC ( Gas Chromatography) .
